At the 2023 ABA Antitrust Law Section’s Spring Meeting, antitrust and competition enforcers around the globe came together to share their enforcement policies and goals for 2023 at an Enforcers Roundtable on March 31, 2023, co-chaired by Tom Zych, Chair of the ABA Antitrust Law Section and Ninette Dodoo, Partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. Enforcers in attendance included the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chair Lina Khan, the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division (DOJ) Assistant Attorney General (AAG) Jonathan Kanter, Wisconsin AAG Gwendolyn Cooley, the European Commission (EC) Executive Vice President and Commissioner Margrethe Vestager, and the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) Chief Executive Sarah Cardell. We look at priorities global competition enforcers have in mind for 2023.
