Ex-SurveyMonkey chief legal officer Lora Blum, fresh off helping sell the online-survey software company for $1.5 billion, is joining the data analytics platform Grafana Labs as its first legal chief.

Blum announced her hiring as New York City-based Grafana’s chief legal officer on LinkedIn. She left San Mateo, California-based SurveyMonkey in September, three months after the Palo Alto, California-based private equity firm Symphony Technology Group wrapped up the SurveyMonkey purchase. She joined SurveyMonkey in 2017 and played a key role in guiding the company through its initial public offering the following year.
