The longtime general counsel of drug discovery firm Enanta Pharmaceuticals will retire at the end of March, the company announced in a securities filing made public this week.

Nathaniel Gardiner, 70, has been with Enanta since its founding in 1995. He was hired to lead its legal department in 2014, having served as its outside counsel while a partner at Boston law firm Edwards Wildman Palmer, which merged with Dallas-based Locke Lord LLP in 2015.
