The Chicago Bears have parted ways with longtime general counsel Cliff Stein, a move that comes as the team reaches a critical stage in negotiations on a new $5 billion stadium project in Arlington Heights that would replace Soldier Field.

Stein confirmed his exit as GC and senior vice president to Law.com but offered no comment beyond a LinkedIn post expressing gratitude for his 22-year run with the team and all the memories that went with it.
