A senior Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. attorney on Tuesday pleaded guilty to conspiring to sexually exploit children and now will face at least 15 years in prison.

Mark Black worked at the FDIC from 2013 until the agency learned of the criminal matter and suspended him last fall. He was serving at the time as special counsel in the Office of General Counsel, supporting “directly the General Counsel of the FDIC in the execution of the General Counsel’s duties over the Corporation and as head of a 450-person legal unit,” according to Black’s LinkedIn profile.
