Legal leaders from some of of the world's largest companies, from Atlanta-based Coca-Cola and New York-based Goldman Sachs to London-based drug giant GSK, have signed a pledge aiming for 50% pro bono engagement across their U.K. legal teams by 2026.

Under the pledge, created by the In House Pro Bono Group in collaboration with the National Pro Bono Centre and GC100, legal departments should aim to have 25% of their U.K.-based lawyers doing pro bono work over the next 12 months, rising to 35% next year and 50% by 2026.
