The departure of Paramount General Counsel Christa D’Alimonte was “involuntary” and “without cause,” the company said in a regulatory filing Friday and, as a result, she is slated to receive an estimated $6.5 million in severance.

Law.com reported Thursday that D’Alimonte will depart June 28 after more than a decade with the New York-based media conglomerate, which owns the Paramount Pictures studios, CBS, MTV and the Paramount+ streaming service.
