Tala—a fintech startup with the ambitious goal of serving the 4 billion people worldwide who are underserved by traditional financial services providers—has hired former Wells Fargo legal executive Damier Xandrine as chief legal officer.

Xandrine was with Wells Fargo from 2003 to 2016, rising to senior vice president. After that, she was associate general counsel for Silicon Valley Bank, deputy general counsel of banking startup Marqeta and chief legal officer of banking startup KOHO.
