A study released Monday, while striking an upbeat tone about generative AI's potential to boost legal department efficiency and effectiveness, includes numerous findings that run counter to that rosy narrative.
"The legal industry is undergoing a seismic shift," says the study from the Association of Corporate Counsel and Everlaw, whose e-discovery platform employs the technology. "Generative artificial intelligence is rapidly emerging as a transformative force, reshaping the landscape of in-house legal departments."
