In an increasingly fragmented geopolitical and regulatory landscape, the corporate legal chief is increasingly under pressure to anticipate issues and help the C-suite and board connect the dots.

Panelists at the opening session of the Association of Corporate Counsel's annual meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday acknowledged that legal chiefs can't be expected to anticipate everything. But they can employ a number of processes to improve intelligence, and at least have processes in place to better respond to a geopolitical event that hits home.
