Cable One said in a regulatory filing that Chief Legal and Administrative Officer Peter Witty has decided to leave the company in the wake of its decision to eliminate his post effective Jan. 1.

Because of Witty's departure plans, the Phoenix-based cable and broadband provider said it is promoting Deputy General Counsel Christopher Arntzen to general counsel. He will take over at the start of the year, overseeing legal and government affairs, while the administrative duties Witty handled will be parceled out to other employees.
