OpenAI has hired Uber's chief ethics and compliance officer as its first compliance chief, the burgeoning artificial intelligence startup announced late Tuesday.
In a statement OpenAI posted on its website, Scott Schools said he's "excited to join such an innovative company and deeply admires OpenAI's work." He added that "contributing to the responsible development of technologies that positively impact society is a tremendous opportunity."
