Riding high on soaring revenue and its lucrative Activision Blizzard acquisition, Microsoft boosted executive pay across the board in fiscal 2024, including for top lawyer Brad Smith whose compensation shot up to $23.4 million, up 29% from the $18.1 million he received a year earlier.

Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft disclosed pay for Smith and its other most-senior executives for the 12 months ended June 30 in a proxy statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission late Thursday.
