Bitfarms, one of the largest cryptocurrency miners in the Americas, has hired its first U.S. general counsel as it brings talent aboard and builds out infrastructure to further accelerate its growth.

The Toronto-based company tapped Rachel Silverstein, who is based in Las Vegas and has 16 years of legal experience, for the role, describing her as "one of the most experienced bitcoin mining-focused attorneys in the U.S., having served as lead counsel on well over a gigawatt worth of bitcoin mining transactions across multiple states and countries."
