Swelling workloads and murky career-advancement opportunities have led to a sharp increase in the percentage of in-house lawyers contemplating leaving their current employers for jobs elsewhere.

That was among the key findings of the newly released "2024 In-House Report," from the on-demand legal services provider Axiom. It commissioned Wakefield Research to interview 300 legal professionals about such topics as job satisfaction, stress levels and the meaningfulness of work assignments. One hundred of the respondents were from companies with revenue of $50 million to $250 million, while 200 were from companies with revenue topping $250 million.
