Alyssa Harvey Dawson is leaving HubSpot after just two years as chief legal officer "upon mutual agreement with the Board of Directors," the company disclosed in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

Dawson took the legal reins of the customer-relationship-management software maker in November 2022 after serving as chief legal officer of the payroll platform Gusto and holding senior legal roles at Netflix and eBay. The company has performed well during Dawson's tenure, with the stock price more than doubling and its market valuation ballooning to $38 billion. Along the way, the company pulled off three modestly sized acquisitions—Clearbit in December 2023, Cacheflow in October and Frame this month.
