Veteran in-house attorney Lucy Clark Dougherty is stepping down as general counsel of the powersports manufacturer Polaris to become chief legal officer of the power management company Eaton.
Eaton, based in Ireland but with its administrative headquarters in suburban Cleveland, announced the appointment late Thursday. She will start Jan. 27 and succeeds Taras “Terry” Szmagala Jr., who is retiring after 18 years with the company, the last two as legal chief.
