Carlos Ortiz is stepping down after 35 years as general counsel of Goya Foods, which bills itself as the nation's largest Hispanic-owned food company.

In a statement, Bob Unanue, CEO of the Jersey City, New Jersey-based company, called Ortiz's tenure "remarkable. ... We express our deepest gratitude for his invaluable contributions, unwavering dedication, and loyal friendship over the years. His leadership has shaped our legal strategies and strengthened our commitment to excellence."
