For legal departments to harness the full benefits of generative AI, they'll have to confront what tend to be among their most-entrenched challenges, such as haphazard data management, their failure to review the performance of outside law firms in a systematic way and their struggles to build truly collaborative relationships with those firms, according to the Blickstein Group’s recently released Law Department Operations Survey.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
