In another move likely to put Facebook's parent in the graces of the incoming Trump administration, Meta has pulled the plug on its DEI initiatives, effective immediately.

The move, made public Friday, comes just three days after the tech giant announced it was ending a nine-year-old Facebook fact-checking program that many Republicans believed disproportionately muted conservatives. And it came just a week after news broke that Meta had installed Joel Kaplan, a prominent Republican who served as a deputy chief of staff under President George W. Bush, to lead its global public policy team.
