Reactions within Meta to its decision to cancel its diversity, equity and inclusion program and shut down third-party fact-checking of social media posts are a mixed bag, with no consensus among workers, according to a new survey.

Forty-five percent of the 965 Meta employees surveyed opposed the abolition of DEI initiatives, while 43% agreed with it. Similarly, 42% opposed shutting down the fact-checking program while 36% supported it.
