Chief legal officers are trying to stay on top of their risk-management responsibilities, even as the volume and complexity of disputes and investigations increase and as their duties broaden to include oversight of more nonlegal functions.

Those were among the key findings of the 26th Annual Chief Legal Officers Survey, released Tuesday by the Association of Corporate Counsel and FTI Consulting. Responding to the survey were 772 CLOs from 20 industries in 48 countries.
