The American Bar Association is slated to publish its first model jury instructions for copyright, trademark, and trade dress cases this month. Twenty-seven experts in trademark, trade dress, and copyright contributed to the new manual, and the coeditors-in-chief were Todd Holbrook, a partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius in Boston, and Alan Harris, a partner at Bodman in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The jury instructions attempt to summarize the vast amount of decisions made in these areas, according to Tim Brandhorst, associate director of book publishing for the ABA.
