As an undergraduate at Duke University, Michael M. Kent — now deputy general counsel of Numerex — studied history and religion. Later, he followed a well-worn path from Duke to law school, at the University of Denver.

But his religious studies at Duke led him to convert from his Southern Baptist upbringing to the Catholic Church. That decision was life forming in more ways than the obvious.
