Travelport Ltd. is a global conglomerate of travel-related companies including Worldspan and Galileo, former competitors that feed information about airline schedules, prices and seat availability to other airlines and travel agencies and manage reservations for United Airlines; Gullivers Travel Associates, which brokers hotel and ground services; and IT Services & Software, which provides software to major airlines. Travelport owns about 48% of online travel agency Orbitz Worldwide Inc. The Parsippany, N.J.-based company employs about 5,500 people and reported $2.5 billion in revenue last year. The Blackstone Group bought the company in 2006.
