EBay may have hired lawyers from Dewey & LeBoeuf and Sidley Austin to represent the company when it sold a stake in Skype, an Internet phone service. But the in-house legal teams for both eBay and Skype also played key roles, from providing reams of requested documents to helping draft purchasing agreements, say lawyers involved.
