A former general counsel and interim leader of the U.S. Olympic Committee has finally landed his gold medal job. The committee has chosen Colorado Springs, Colo., attorney Scott Blackmun to be CEO, its fourth in less than seven years.

He replaces Stephanie Streeter, who became acting CEO when the board ousted Jim Scherr last March. Blackburn will start his new job at the end of this month, and has signed a four-year contract with an annual salary of $450,000. But his total annual compensation could be as high as $675,000 with bonuses.
