Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP is a massive joint venture between oil giants — Chevron Corporation and Phillips Petroleum Company (now ConocoPhillips).

Uniting two energy behemoths is no easy feat, but Tim Hill, Chevron Phillips‘ new general counsel, helped make it happen. Hill’s been with the company, one of the nation’s largest petrochemical businesses, since its start in 2000. Working as Chevron Phillips’ assistant general counsel, he was involved with the merger and helped build the company’s 20-lawyer legal department.
