Sparks flew at a New York panel discussion last week between two panelists who argued over whether face-to-face contact between corporate executives and their lawyers can still always be expected.
A simple way to build trust with clients is having more face-to-face contact and less communication via e-mails and conference calls, Joe Armbrust, a partner at Sidley Austin‘s New York office, told the Thursday panel discussion, entitled “Replacing Tension With Trust: Better Aligning the Incentives of In-house Counsel and their Legal Service Providers,” which was sponsored by Practical Law Company and Axiom Law.
