Lawyers for the Tennessee Valley Authority lost their bid to keep CEO Tom Kilgore from being questioned about the utility’s 2008 coal ash spill near Knoxville, Tenn. Last week, a federal judge in Knoxville ordered that Kilgore be deposed.
“Mr. Kilgore does have unique personal knowledge of the events and relevant matters in this case,” U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Guyton said in a written order (pdf).
