Spotify AB, the stockholm-based online music streaming service, could be on the cusp of something big. And for its peripatetic general counsel, Petra Hansson, these are exciting, if tiring, times. The 40-year-old GC is a frequent commuter between company headquarters and its busy London office, and she is considering relocating from Stockholm to London.

Spotify, a venture capital–backed company, was valued at about $250 million in a fund-raising last August. It now boasts more than 7 million users, has just entered into profile-raising tie-ups with social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, and is in talks about a U.S. launch. The company currently operates in seven countries—Finland, France, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
