Despite the fact that Lon Babby has had a long and well-respected career in the sports industry, his hiring as president of basketball operations for the Phoenix Suns in July was hardly a slam dunk.
After all, back in June Babby was just a 59-year-old agent trying to sell his clients to various NBA teams.
