When General Atlantic LLC and KKR & Co. purchased engineering, integration, and decision-support services company TASC, Inc., from Northrop Grumman Corporation, Jerry Howe was serving as a consultant for the two private equity acquirors. Six months later, Howe was appointed TASC‘s general counsel.

Two members of TASC’s new board of directors asked Howe to take the job, and it was an offer the 25-year aerospace and defense industry veteran couldn’t turn down.
