BP p.l.c. posted the results of its investigation into the Deepwater Horizon disaster Wednesday, and it assigned blame to all the companies involved — including BP.
BP’s investigators “did not identify any single action or inaction that caused this accident,” the report said. “Rather, a complex and interlinked series of mechanical failures, human judgments, engineering design, operational implementation and team interfaces” caused the accident. “Multiple companies, work teams and circumstances were involved over time.”
