Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone of counsel Hatim “Tim” Attalla was indicted by federal prosecutors last year on a single drug conspiracy charge for providing legal counsel to a notorious local biker gang.

The charges, which stemmed from a period of time before Attalla joined the firm, were embarrassing in that they essentially accused Attalla as serving as general counsel to the gang. Still, Miller Canfield stood by the lawyer and provided him with a defense. On Monday, Attalla was acquitted, reports the Detroit Free Press.
