The Law.Gov movement is looking for a few good firms to aid in its mission to compile publicly available legal documents and resources on free Web sites.
The nonprofit organization Public.Resource.Org—which is backing the Law.Gov effort—is calling the campaign “Yes We Scan.” It is asking companies, law firms, and other interested parties to “adopt” portions of the First Series of the Federal Reporter, which contains federal court decisions handed down from 1880 to 1924. That series no longer is under copyright.
