The debate over how to provide health care to uninsured Americans took decades to settle.
So it shouldn’t be surprising that the massive reform law passed by Congress last summer is taking awhile to implement. Provisions of the 900-page Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) are kicking in year by year, with the last not scheduled to take effect until 2018.
