The Washington, D.C., office of Covington & Burling welcomed three veteran lawyers. John Dugan , former comptroller of the currency, rejoins the firm as a partner and chair of the firm’s financial institutions group. Also joining as a partner is Ed Yingling, former president and chief executive officer of the American Bankers Association. Peter Nichols, former attorney general for D.C., is now a senior counsel with the firm.

Clifford Chance announced that Robert Masella, a former managing director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, joined the firm as a partner in New York.
