David Becker’s dance card keeps filling up since the news broke that he’d been named as a defendant in a clawback suit (pdf) filed by Bernard Madoff trustee Irving Picard. The former general counsel for the Securities and Exchange Commission has been asked — along with Chairman Mary Schapiro — to testify Thursday at a hearing before a subcommittee of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

The hearing — “Financial Management, Work Force and Operations at the SEC: Who’s Watching Wall Street’s Watchdog?” — is scheduled to take place from 1:30-3:30 p.m. before the Subcommittee on TARP and Financial Services.
