After deliberating for less than an hour, a federal jury in Tyler found that Yahoo Inc. did not infringe a Linux-related patent held by Bedrock Computer Technologies, a so-called patent troll based in Texas.

Attorneys from McDermott Will & Emery in Silicon Valley and Southern California represented Sunnyvale-based Yahoo. IP litigator Yar Chaikovsky in Menlo Park led the team, which included partners John Lee, Fay Morisseau and Christopher Bright, along with associates Bryan James, Natalie Bennett (Chicago) and John Low (Houston).
