A national tea party organization battled one of its founding members in Cobb County Superior Court over the ownership rights to the group’s intellectual property—including name, website and social media.

When the jury’s votes were counted on Nov. 11, following a weeklong trial, the Tea Party Patriots Inc. came out on top. But the defendant, Amy Kremer of Cobb County, received $6,000 from the jury for her counterclaim of unreimbursed expenses.
