As deputy GC and VP, Lim will preside over Guidance’s AGC team, a consultant to government and corporate clients on digital investigations, privacy, and e-discovery, according to a press release. The team also provides regular feedback on legal, marketing, and product issues as they relate to Guidance Software and services. Lim publishes and speaks on security, privacy, and e-discovery, and posts on the company blog, Guidance on eDiscovery.

Lim moves up from his previous post at Guidance as assistant general counsel, a position he began in 2007. Before joining Guidance, Lim was a part of Jones Day’s e-discovery committee as an attorney in the firm’s trial practice group. Lim has also practiced law at McGlinchey Stafford, and Beck, Redden & Seacrest. He clerked for Judge Vanessa Gilmore at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in Houston and holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, as well as a B.A. in English and a B.S. in economics from Southern Methodist University.
