Swedish defense and security company Saab AB has a new top lawyer holding down the fort. Saab announced in November that it had named ANNIKA BÄREMO, 46, its general counsel and head of legal affairs, effective at the beginning of February. She takes over from ANNE GYNNERSTEDT, who is moving to energy company Vattenfall AB.

Saab, not to be confused with its former subsidiary Saab Automobile AB, is a defense contractor to governments and the civil security sector. It is perhaps best known for its aeronautics division, which dates back to 1937. Today it supplies fighter jets to several air forces, including the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It boasts 12,500 employees and annual sales of $3.7 billion.
