The third-generation release of Best Authority, software for making tables of authority in Microsoft Word, is delayed until summer 2012, manufacturer Levit & James said last week.
Best Authority 3, announced in August 2011, was supposed to ship late that year or early this year, but the Leesburg, Va. company was still showing a demonstration version at this year’s LegalTech New York conference in February. “The technology took much longer to refine than we expected,” co-founder and vice president Ian Levit said.
