Vocal Technologies, Ltd., a telecommunications hardware and software designer, announced the release of their enhanced TR-069 application protocol with integrated fax image capture and extraction. The enhanced application protocol works with the Voice over Internet Protocol to lawfully intercept fax transmissions over PSTN or IP networks where flexibility and dynamic reconfiguration of remote image capturing equipment is required to intercept targeted facsimile communications.
TR-069 is an application layer protocol that allows remote management and automatic configuration of hardware and software used for modern telecommunication equipment found in the home and office, such as modems, routers, gateways, set-top boxes, and VoIP phones. The protocol can be used to automaticall provision and reconfigure devices based on network events, e.g., low bandwidth conditions.
