The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters, an information provider for business and legal professionals, announced Thursday that it signed a definitive agreement to purchase MarkMonitor, a software and service provider of online brand monitoring and protection.
Brands face risks on the internet due to the web’s “anonymity, global reach and shifting consumption patterns for digital content, goods and services,” says the San Francisco-based company. Enterprise customers choose MarkMonitor with an aim to preserve their marketing investments, revenues, and garner customer trust.
