Global Post recently announced a GC dream job for any soccer fan—Chelsea Football Club is seeking its first in-house lawyer, according to the website. Alex Newman in Legalweek.com says the position will be based in Stamford Bridge and requires a minimum of three years of experience with a “major City practice.”

The position requirements include advising on commercial contracts, intellectual property, the European Union, employment and sports law, and the GC will supervise external firms’ work on arbitrations, disciplinary cases and commercial matters, reports Newman. He says the team currently works with external counsel from Squire Sanders and Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom.
