An annual government report shows that fewer discrimination charges were filed by the private sector and more charges went unresolved than last year, citing a lack of staff and resources as the cause.

The agency charged with enforcing anti-discrimination laws, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, reported that it received 93,727 private sector discrimination charges in fiscal year 2013, compared with almost 100,000 last year.
