In the aftermath of a series of high-profile holiday season data breaches, it seems that everyone, from the White House and Congress to the retail and banking industries is talking about cybersecurity and data protection. A new survey report from Trustwave Holdings Inc. goes straight to the heart of the matter by getting feedback from the people on the ground making daily decisions about enterprise cybersecurity.

The 2014 Security Pressures Report found that in the minds of these decision makers—mainly chief information officers, chief information security officers and IT security directors and managers—the pressure is building. Some 54 percent of the 833 professionals surveyed said they felt more pressure to protect their organizations in 2013 as opposed to 2012, and 58 percent believe that pressure in 2014 will be even higher.
