The saga involving failed financial institutions isn’t over. This according to a new report by Cornerstone Research showing that Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) litigation involving these entities increased significantly in 2013.

“Characteristics of FDIC Lawsuits Against Directors and Officers of Failed Financial Institutions” shows the agency filed 40 director and officer suits in 2013 versus 26 in 2012, up 54 percent.
